Ingredients: (1 cup = 250 ml)

Turmeric Leaves 18 to 20

For the filling:

Jaggery 1 Cup

Grated coconut 1 ½ cup

Ghee 2 tsp

Cardamom powder ½ tsp

Water ¼ Cup

For the batter:

Dosa rice 1 Cup

Jaggery 1 tbsp

Grated coconut ¼ Cup

Salt ½ tsp

Water to grind batter

Instructions:

1.Wash turmeric leaves and wipe off with clean cloth and dry.

2.Soak dosa rice for two hours and set aside.

3.Heat a pan and add jaggery and water to make filling.

4.After few seconds you can see jaggery melts and bubbles will form.

5.At this point add grated coconut and sauté occasionally.

6.Further add ghee and cardamom powder and mix well.

7.Your filing is ready.

8.After two hours drain rice and grind it along with jaggery, grated coconut, salt and water till medium thick paste.

9.Take one turmeric leaf into hand and spread a thin layer of batter.

10.Place stuffing at the centre and close the edges of the leaf properly.

11.Now place stuffed leaves in a steamer and steam for about 15 minutes or till done.

12.Serve warm patholi with ghee.
